Everyone at some point of our life must have thought about this..’ Why does milk overflow when boiled ??’ and ‘Why do things in the to do list come to our mind when the milk is just few seconds away from boiling over ??’:p
Well I don’t know the answer to the second question..lol..But yeah I can explain the phenomenon taking place in the first question.
So when we heat water some amount of it changes it’s state to vapour form..In the case of normal water it rises up but in the case of milk, since the upper layer of milk is covered with cream, the vapour tries to push out the layer hence spilling it.
Kitchen tip : You can prevent boiling over of milk by keeping a wooden spoon/stick across the vessel .
Thank me later :p Cheers :))
